SAP ABAP Consultant

SAP ABAP will be responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting group-wide business application solutions with focus on technologies.

What You’ll Do

• Perform a variety of activities, including technical design, some technical configuration, technical specification writing, technical unit testing aligned with the test script, ongoing maintenance/support, and enhancements. 

• Assumes responsibilities including designing a strategic technical approach to improve and optimize each program/enhancement in the system and making business process improvements. 

• Works with Business/Functional counterparts to understand their requirements and their incidents/questions to give them timely technical support. 

• Use proper technical documentation. 

• In addition, this position will allow the successful candidate to utilize his/her skills and experience by working with other consultants, building on his/her background, and contributing to practice successes 

Who Are You?

• At least 8 years of experience in Design, Architecture Review, Testing and Software Development Life Cycle in ECC and S/4 Environment.

• At least 4 full cycle implementations on SAP Development involving cross Functional Modules.

• Strong experience in ABAP on S/4 HANA environment, AMDP, code push down techniques, CDS views, Business Object Processing Framework (BOPF), backend oData services, and SAP Gateway Services, RAP (ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model) based services, and API solutions.

• Form Development experience in Adobe Forms / PDF Form development, SAP-Script, Smartforms.

• Expertise in enhancing standard SAP functionality leveraging standard enhancements framework – User exists, Business Transaction Events (BTE), Business Add-Ins (BADI), Enhancement Spots (Implicit & Explicit).

• Module pool programming experience using custom controls (ALV/Tree/Image), OLE embedding, etc.

• Experience in developing data migration programs, LSMW scripts (BDC, BAPI, IDOC, Direct/Batch Input) and GUIXT scripts, LTMC tool

• Expertise in report programming using ALV, classical, drill down, and interactive using ALV events

• Experienced in code optimization, performance tuning, and runtime analysis

• Expertise in using Code Inspector, Single Transaction Analysis, SQL Performance Trace, and Runtime Analysis tools

• Developed extensibility solutions using:

  • In-app (key-user) extensibility

  • Developer extensibility in S/4HANA ABAP Environment

  • Side-by-side extensibility on SAP BTP

• Collaborate with SAP Integration Suite teams for interface design and implementation.

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

• Flexible, easily adaptable to change, and effectively handle a very fast-paced environment

• Experienced in a Global delivery environment

• Ability to work and contribute to a diverse team of diverse/multiple environments
