Bringing Meals, Smiles and Hope to Better World Tondo

Making a meaningful impact beyond the workplace is at the heart of McCoy’s purpose. We believe that success is not measured solely by business milestones, but by the positive difference we create in the communities around us. Guided by this belief, McCoy partnered with Rise Against Hunger Philippines for a community feeding initiative at Better World Tondo — an outreach center dedicated to supporting underprivileged families through nourishment, education, and empowerment.

Better World Tondo serves as a safe and supportive space for children and families striving for a brighter future. Through structured learning programs, values formation, and daily nourishment, the center helps break cycles of poverty by investing in both immediate needs and long-term development. It is within this environment of hope and resilience that McCoy volunteers stepped in to lend their time and hands.

During the initiative, our team prepared and served meals to over 500 students. More than simply distributing food, the experience allowed our volunteers to connect with the children — sharing smiles, conversations, and encouragement. It was a powerful reminder that compassion is expressed not only through grand gestures but through presence, service, and genuine human connection.

Beyond volunteering on the ground, McCoy employees also rallied together to raise over ₱24,000 in support of the initiative. The funds were used to provide food supplies, hygiene kits, and school materials — essential resources that help students stay healthy, confident, and ready to learn. These contributions were formally turned over to the community, reinforcing our shared commitment to sustainable support rather than one-time assistance.
